Of the 695 folks who participated in Neighborhood Poll #2, 455 voted specifically to ‘Enhance the Western CTA Station Plaza / pedestrian underpass.’ Partnerships between the SSA and CTA will be necessary to re-envision this space and create better connections between Lincoln Square’s businesses and the Western Avenue transit hub.

Of the 563 folks who participated in Neighborhood Poll #1, 39% rated ‘Pedestrian and Bike Amenities’ as Lincoln Square’s most critical need, and one out of every three respondents elaborated with specific recommendations. Key responses focused on improving the North Lincoln Avenue area with streetscape improvements like those pictured here. Partnerships between the SSA, private property owners, CDOT and CTA will be necessary to implement these near and long-range projects.
